Enhancing Care Coordination with QI-focused Learning Management System (LMS)
Aim
The aim of the Quality Improvement (QI) Learning Management System (LMS) within NINCo is to create and implement a customized platform that centralizes QI learning materials, provides standardised training, promotes skill development, and permits data-driven decision-making for healthcare professionals and staff in Australia.
Goal
To achieve an engagement rate of 80% among the PHN QI Staff within the first year, as determined by the successful completion of fundamental QI training modules and active involvement in QI projects, which will lead to real advancements in QI competency and the effective implementation of QI initiatives.
Objectives
- Simplistic standardised understanding and approach to Quality Improvement.
- Accessibility and scalability without duplication.
- Continuous learning and skill development.
- One platform providing enhanced collaboration, uniform understanding, sharing and consistency of QI resources and modules.
- Data-driven identification of needs assessment for training QI staff.
- Cost-effective, timely and location-appropriate care delivery. Coordinated staff engagement. Legacy of knowledge and expertise.
- Equal access to high-quality training, enhancing their ability to deliver QI initiatives to the general practices.
The LMS will be a common platform for all the PHNs. The selection of the LMS provider was done after scoping 5 LMS platforms.
Evaluation Criteria
The LMS will include the QI module of four hours developed by QI 101 initially which will be accessible to the PHN staff on a roll out basis. The ISIA recordings of the workshops will also be uploaded into a content module to ensure legacy of Train the Trainer concept by the ISIA trained PHN staff.
